Physual designing in action
The physual designing approach encourages using multiple large displays for communication. Research strongly indicates that alignment of audio and video sources is important for an intuitive feeling of telepresence.
By aligning audio and video sources, attention conflicts is avoided andcollocated and distributed members can interact freely with a strong feeling of presence.
Experiments also indicate that using separate displays for sharing documents and for video communication is favorable, as this creates less confusion regarding the perception of the position of distributed contributors.
